I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
