Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season introduces a large cast of characters living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
